  • The general info site, which provides hints regarding legal rights and particularly imprisonment: http://www.blackcross.dk/    go to: "legal rights" (essentials) or "text" (a manual for a 'prolonged stay' in Copenhagen). These sections are in english, too. Both sections are available as pdf.  The "text" might be worth looking at:  At least somewhere you find the sentences: "To poison the city well was in older times one of the most severe crimes one could imagine. Today the authorities look more mildly upon the ones that contaminate our common water and air."   How very true.
    Zeitungsartikel über die Absicht, das Demonstrationsrecht in Dänemark auf die Konferenz hin massiv zu verschärfen. : http://www.taz.de/1/politik/europa/artikel/1/klima-demos-unerwuenscht/ Vergleiche auch die Wochenzeitung (WoZ) vom 12. November 2009. {Article in German about current attempts to render the law against protesters very repressive, which is being debated in Denmark these days (around December 16, 2009)}
  • Statement by a local on passive weapons use (use of protection): "Its legal to wear protection during actions and its pretty normal that people make legs and arm protection in plastic. its not illegal to wear helmets during a demo either, but its not normal in DK. people generally don't protect the heads of some reason. Your not allowed to mask yourself when you are in a demonstration, which meens that you can get a fine if you have a scarf covering your face. however it is december so it will be common sense to bring a scarf or a hat. You can wear sunglasses, but I guess if its not sunny and your also wearing full on protection gear they might still fine you for being masked, its a grey zone i'd say. In general the police feel very strongly about this mask thing as its a easy way for them to harass people, so they generally try to stop demonstrations where people are masked, even if it is a very peacefull demo."
  • Remark on knives:  Allegedly, knifes with a self-locking blade, or knives with blades which can be handled (opened) with one hand only or any knives with a blade any longer than very short are prohibited.
